Scientist Machine Learning / Computational Biology
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
One of the core areas of your role will be the application of diverse machine learning approaches on multi-omics data. This involves classification of data into specific groups or the identification of potential biomarkers. Moreover, you will use machine learning concepts to identify treatment-specific patterns in diverse data types.
WHO YOU ARE
You have a master or PhD in bioinformatics, computer science or a related field and ideally some years of experience in the field of machine learning. You have practical experience with state of the art machine learning methods and deep learning frameworks. You possess strong programming skills in R and are familiar with visualization of high dimensional data.
Generally, a good understanding of the underlying biological system and interest in interpreting the data in its biological context would be beneficial. Preferably, you already have a background in plant physiology and metabolism, however, this is not a prerequisite.
